The Borden Project

The Borden Project is an ongoing work-in-progress. Currently, we are working with a database of almost 6000 names. Each of these names needs to have an Individual Record created for that person. This is a very time-consuming process and, as you can imagine takes a few people a very long time to produce.

But it takes several people a lot less time!

If you would like to contribute to our project and help us create these records here what you need to know:

Records are created in Windows MS Excel. If you have Excel but don't know how to use it -- that's okay. One of our members can explain it to you over the phone. You will be sent a template so all you have to do is duplicate the template for each record and fill in the blanks. After you've made some records just email the template file back to the website administrator.

And just so you know -- 2/3 of our current volunteers didn't know Excel before they started and they are now creating records like professional data techs!

You work off your own data but you will be given a portion of the Master Name List so you know which people need records.

And that's basically it. You can do a few or as many records as you like. Our goal is to get the preliminary records done and on the website as soon as possible.
